Cleaning and Maintenance of your Auto-FIll© Watering System

The best way that we are aware of to prevent algae from growing in your Auto-FIll© Automatic Waterer is to keep it out of direct sunlight.  This will restrict the algae growth in most all cases.

If the above option is not available then you can add 1 tablespoon of apple cider vinegar per gallon of water.   This will act as a deterrent to the future algae growth.

If you must "clean" the algae growth from you waterer you can remove it from the location where it is used to a secure area.  use 1 ounce of household bleach per gallon of water and allow to sit f1 hour.  Pour out bleach mixture, wipe clean, rinse, place back into area to be used and fill with clean water.

Always be sure to rinse waterer several times before using after cleaning.
